AA meetings in Charlotte, NC

This Saturday meeting

Charlotte Group is an open Big Book discussion. Anyone interested in AA is welcome. The first meeting is Saturday, November 7, 2026. There is no registration and no cost. You do not have to speak.

Last Saturday of each month is a lead discussion meeting: a 30-minute speaker followed by discussion.

This is not the citywide meeting list

People searching “Charlotte AA” or “AA meetings Charlotte” usually want a directory of all local meetings. That directory is not here. Charlotte Area Intergroup maintains the current Charlotte-area list at charlotteaa.org. Meeting times change. Other groups should be confirmed there, not copied onto this site.

Charlotte Group is an autonomous AA group. We are not Intergroup, not a treatment center, and not a citywide hotline. We publish our own Saturday meeting so newcomers can find the door. We point everyone else to the official list.

How to read a Charlotte meeting list

On a typical list you will see day, time, location, and a few letters. Those letters usually tell you whether the meeting is open or closed, and sometimes the format (discussion, speaker, Big Book, 12 and 12). Confirm the current codes on charlotteaa.org. Then pick a meeting you can actually reach this week.

• Open meeting: anyone interested in AA may attend, including family and friends.
• Closed meeting: generally for people who have a desire to stop drinking.
• This group: Saturday, open, Big Book discussion, 7:00–8:00 PM, Elizabeth / near Uptown.
